2012 Musical Comedy Awards
Enter the 2012 Musical Comedy Awards! All you need to do is submit one video here before December 11th (once you've uploaded to the site, become a member of this group and then add your video to the group) and the best 40 will then be selected to progress through to the live heats at the Wilmington Arms from January onwards! You can only submit one video to this group, but you can upload as many as you want to the general site and give the judges the opportunity to see more of your work if you want to. The prize will again be £500 for the Best Act and also £200 for the WeGotTickets Best Newcomer and all artists taking part in the MCA may be invited to perform at shows in London, Edinburgh and potentially as part of our MCA Uni tour! Gods of Musikcomedy Award
Beteilige dich bei unserem Wettbewerb und werde zum Musikcomedygott! Und wie? Ganz einfach: Lade ein Video von dir auf www.musicalcomedyawards.com hoch, werde ein Mitglied und adde dein Video zu dieser Gruppe. Außer Ruhm und Ehr gibt es aber noch viel mehr: 1. Ein Preisgeld von 500 € für den Gewinner des Wettbewerbs. 2. Teilnahme an 12 bezahlten Auftritten im September (7.-10.9, 14.-17.9 und 28.9 - 1.10) in der ufa Fabrik, Berlin. 3. Durch die Partnerschaft mit Musical Comedy Awards die Möglichkeit vor Londoner Publikum aufzutreten. 4 . Die Gelegenheit einer weiterführenden Zusammenarbeit mit BlueCat-Agenturen. Du hast momentan kein Video von dir? Keine Sorge, du hast noch bis zum 31. Mai 2011 Zeit hier ein Video hochzuladen. Nach dem 31. Mai geht’s erst richtig los: Eine Comedygötter Jury wählt aus allen Teilnehmern die besten 10 Künstler aus, die dann am 15. Juni in dem legendären Berliner Kookaburra Club sich mit einer Live Show präsentieren können. Die Juroren sind: Lutz Deisinger (künstlerische Leitung Bar jeder Vernunft), Ulrike Schirrmacher (Theaterleitung Wühlmäuse), Dirk Neldner (Geschäftsführer Distel), Friedhelm Teicke (Theaterredakteur zitty), Daniela Titze (Programmchefin ufaFabrik), Sanjay Shihora (Comedian, Betreiber Kookaburra), Renate Wasdrack (Agentur Les Artistes), Ingo Ewert-Mazander (Producer Radio Fritz). Das spektakuläre Finale wird dann am 28. August in der Berliner ufaFabrik unter den letzten fünf Teilnehmern des Wettbewerbs ausgetragen. Und hier gilt: Es kann nur einen God of Musikcomedy geben! The prize will again be £500 and you artists taking part in the MCA may be invited to perform at shows in London, Edinburgh, Berlin and other locations outside of the competition! 2010 Musical Comedy Awards
This is a selection of the 65 artists who entered the 2010 Musical Comedy Awards. The best 40 were selected by Tim Arthur, Comedy Editor of Time Out London and these acts then progressed to the live heat stage from January through to March. Each of these shows took place at the Wilmington Arms, London and were totally sold out. The final took place on March 26th at the New Players Theatre, London. The winners of the competition were Irish hip-hop improv trio Abandoman, runners-up were Horse and Louis, with Jay Foreman in third place. This year's Best Newcomer was Sooz Kempner.
